Yesterday we tackled the best up-and-comer of this year and several new (but already beloved) TV characters, but what about your favorite Freshman show? We've already seen a few Fall series take off like gangbusters (Glee, anyone?) but since this is for '09, I'm including ones that premiered earlier in the year, too. Take a look at the list and then weigh in!

VAMPIRE DIARIES.
Glee, VD, and I am still watching Melrose Place. I gave my vote to Glee because it is the most entertaining and it's fresh and funny.
This was hard! I voted for Vampire Diaries because I'm near-on addicted at this point. But Castle and The Good Wife are also fantastic (the latter surprisingly so, I love it more than I thought I would).
I'm such a nerd. I haven't seen any of them!
I voted for Glee but I really love The Good Wife too!
I love Glee, but The Vampire Diaries keeps me on the edge of my seat each week, so it got my vote!
FLASH FORWARD - definitely. i'm a sucker for this type of show - and i think that it's different from all the others that are on TV right now.
I have to say I watched the Good Wife a couple times and I REALLY liked it.
Glee, most definitely! But I love Cougar Town, too.
Well I wouldn't exactly say Castle's a new show, it's in its 2nd season, but I guess it was a mid-season replacement, right? I love it. And Cougar Town. And Vampire Diaries and Glee and Community. There are so many good shows this season I could just go on.
Modern Family got my vote, but Glee and Community are great. And P & R is just simply amazing this year.
Castle won this for me, hands down. I adore that show and Nathan Fillion. But I also love Modern Family, Cougar Town, Community, FlashForward and Parks & Recreation. So much good TV!

Modern Family followed by Glee tops my list.
From these definitely Glee but my favorite of this years new shows is White Collar
Modern Family! It was hard choosing between it and Glee, but I really think it's the best show on tv right now.
This has been a really great year for new shows and I watch almost all of the ones you listed. I went w/ Glee though b/c it is so original. My second choice would probably be Modern Family.

I accidentally caught Castle one day, and couldn't believe how terrible the acting is! Awful, awful stuff.
I don't know. It's a tie with Glee, Vampire Diaries, and Flash Forward.
I went with Glee because I am so sad when a week goes by and it's not on. However, I also like Modern Family and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy The Vampire Diaries.

Dollhouse, anyone? That debuted early this year as well. I like Glee, but not too much as of late.
Castle from the list. Like Anonymous said, Dollhouse is the best in my opinion.
It was so hard to pick btween Glee and Vampire Diaries but I ultimately went with Glee. I also like Castle but havent had time to watch it.
modern family and glee. i picked modern family because i think it has lasting power.
