This year seemed to have particularly strong animated films. They were visually mesmerizing (Coraline), provided a few tearful moments (Up), and most catered to our adult sense of humor, too (Fantastic Mr. Fox). No wonder several are being considered for an Oscar! Tell me, which did you enjoy most?

Don't forget to vote on all of my Best of 2009 polls!

Post a CommentI can't wait to see the Princess and the Frog on friday! I've already listened to the whole soundtrack. I'm glad there's finally a princess that looks like me!
Up was awesome. I liked Coraline a lot, but Up definitely was the better of the two.
up was great! i'm really excited for princess and the frog too!
UP had me crying in the first ten minutes and kept my son so entertained he brings me the DVD case at least ten times a day!
UP was just absolutely adorable
Up was great. Another winner from Pixar.
Ponyo was a pure joy to watch. And Tina Fey is the voice of the mom!
I think it's hard to vote for Princess and the Frog when it hasn't come out yet.
I really liked Ponyo.
Up was good but it was pretty heavy in my opinion! Losing a child and not be able to have any, then losing his wife and his best friend.... that was all a little too heavy for a kids movie IMO.
I will be first in line for Princess & the Frog.
I found Up! terribly overrated. It was a pile of junk after the wife died.
UP!
I went to see Up with my newphew, just because nobody wanted go with him and we loved it.
Up is my favorite
I actually haven't had a chance to see any of these yet. Buzz -- would it be possible to make it so we can see the results w/out voting?
I'm sure I'd vote for Up if I'd seen it, but I STILL haven't!
I voted Fantastic Mr. Fox... but I heard Ponyo was delightful. I think this year will finally prove to be an interesting year for Best Animated Picture at the oscars... there is lot of competition.
I think Fantastic Mr. Fox was the best movie. But Cloudy with a chance of meatballs was DEFINITELY the most entertaining. It was fun nonstop, it was crazy, wild and reminded me why I even go see animated films. It was refreshing after such an array of darker animated films. Being: Up, Coraline, and Princess and the frog. I don't know why it is that people seems to think that the more dramatic it is...the better. It's annoying
