Who Is the Best Up-and-Comer of 2009?

I vote Lea Michelle! I think all the Twilight kids don't have much of a future in Hollywood once Twilight ends...

i think taylor will probably be big through out the rest of the twi-mania. so will the cast of vampire diaries.

BUT my money is on Carey Mulligan. she's gonna be around for a while.

This is about 2009 not 2010 and it was really tough but I had to go with Taylor Lautner. He made New Moon a great movie and it had such a huge success at the box office.

I went with Lea Michele. Mostly because I've seen her on Broadway and know she is really talented and and will probably have a long career on the Great White Way even if movies/tv offers dry up.

Definitely Carey Mulligan.

I picked Lea. People were already talking about Taylor in 2008, but Lea pretty much came out of nowhere.

i picked chris pine because i think that we have yet to see the best from him although he was GREAT in star trek.

I can't choose between Paul Wesley, Lea Michele, and Michael Rady. I love them all Jesse Eisenberg and Chris Pine are pretty awesome too.

I would have to say Chris Pine. I think that Carey will be big too, but I think 2010 will actually be her year. I don't think a lot of people have heard of her yet.

Should've included Taylor Momsen, she's a burgeoning style icon. I know people are bothered by her age, but her looks are so fabulous and effortlessly cool; and much better and age-authentic (if not appropriate) than any of the wardrobes of any other character on Gossip Girl.
She's the new Lisa Bonet.

I have to agree with #20 Gabby is so charming. I wasn't planning on seeing Precious, but after seeing her on the late night talk show circuit I really wanted to support the film.
She's amazing and has the greatest sense of humor about all the celebrity and finally getting to meet her heros. Besides when an icon like Joan Collins gives someone the thumbs up you just have to take notice.
She is also one of the few people on this list who I feel is a real up and comer. Everyone else has been working in the the industry for a while.
My second choice would have to be Lea Michelle.

I went with Lea Michele. She's just so talented and like Zivanod said, even if her tv/movie career doesn't last, I believe her career on broadway will be a long and successful one.

Second is definitely Gabby, she's a great actress and she's so lovable in interviews!
